Why your business is not getting leads from your website

Many business owners in Sri Lanka spend good money on a website, only to find that it acts as nothing more than a digital business card. They get traffic, but the phone doesn't ring, and the contact forms stay empty.

If your website isn't generating leads, it's likely suffering from one of these critical conversion killers.

1. You Lack a Clear Call to Action (CTA)

When a visitor lands on your site, what exactly do you want them to do? If they have to search for a way to contact you, they will leave. You need strong, clear CTAs like "Get a Free Quote", "Book a Consultation", or "Call Us Now" prominently displayed on every page.

2. Your Website is Too Slow

Modern consumers have zero patience. If your website takes more than 3 seconds to load, over 50% of your visitors will bounce before seeing your services. Fast hosting and optimized code are not optional; they are mandatory for lead generation.

3. It's Not Optimized for Mobile Phones

Over 75% of web traffic in Sri Lanka comes from mobile devices. If your website requires pinching and zooming to read the text, or if buttons are too small to tap, mobile users will immediately leave and go to your competitor.

4. Poor Trust Signals

In a market where trust is everything, your website needs to prove your credibility. If you don't have client testimonials, Google reviews, case studies, or clear contact information (including a physical address), visitors will hesitate to do business with you.

5. You Only Have a "Contact Us" Page

"Contact Us" is a high-friction request. You need low-friction lead magnets. Offer something of value in exchange for an email or phone number: a free guide, a discount code, a free audit, or an exclusive checklist.
